Gregg Johnson on the Issues
We have a different way of life in this part of Illinois—a way of life based on hard work, family, and responsibility. But when jobs and economic opportunities leave, our kids and young families will follow. If the next generation is forced to go somewhere else to find opportunity, our way of life will cease to exist. Gregg is fighting to keep our community and our way of life alive for families like ours with innovative economic proposals to create good-paying jobs in growing industries like advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, and medical care.
-
Jobs
I’m running because I want Illinois to invest in the people of the 71st District again. A lot of the jobs have left over the years, but the work ethic in our community never did.
-
Seniors
Too many seniors are living in poverty and struggling to make ends meet.
-
Veterans
Unfortunately, too many of our veterans come home to find an economy that doesn’t work for them, a healthcare system that doesn’t address their needs, and a mental health system that is completely inadequate.
-
Education
Gregg is committed to supporting and improving our local public school system to provide our students with the opportunities they need to succeed in the 21st century economy.
-
Healthcare
Health insurance premiums continue to rise, and uncertainty at the federal level has put too many Illinois families at risk. Gregg will fight to make sure that Illinois families aren’t left without access to quality, affordable healthcare.

Fair Government
We need a more transparent government that is accountable to the voters of our state.
